The Recovery Tank for your washer holds the dirty water that is picked up from the surface being cleaned. To empty the tank first turn cleaner off and unplug from electrical outlet and then activate the latches.

If the tank is not aligning or is no longer secure, then the latch may be damaged or faulty and will need replacing.
